Another garden surprise!

And you can imagine I was as blue as Violet from Willy Wonka when I saw it! My first blueberry that has finally turned blue! The big question is, will the others cooperate?

Have a great weekend everyone!

(carrying on from Lisa's comment, above) Or maybe some lovely Blueberry Mead! I have an incredibly satisfying recipe to share, if you'd like it. (You'd have to start it soon for next Midsummer's serving-- but, going on impatient personal "experience," sometimes 4 months is enough!) Let me know if the idea sparks your interest. (The concoction calls for a lot of blueberries, but you can use the frozen variety in the mix.)

The first fruit is always amazing! Yay! Hope you and the kitties are staying cool in this horrid heat. xo

OMG!! It's awsome!. Were they sweet? I love to eat blue berries all year long. I love to go to the blueberry picking sometime. I will pick all those big fat ones.

Love, Mom:)

I like raw blueberries but not cooked ones, weird huh??

I think you have developed a green thumb. Good for you. You can't get much fresher than a home grown garden.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I love blueberries, but have never cooked them...let alone grown them.

(In reply to your comment left for me at my "I Hope They Have Pudding") Merry we meet again! I would be delighted to share the blueberry mead "tonic" with you! I'll head to the kitchen straightaway to locate Aunt Driven's recipe. Hopefully, I won't have to "unearth" waaay too much in order to find it. lol Please look for it in in my next blog entry? Thank you!

I can't believe it!!!! Blueberries? are you growing them in a pot??? It's beautiful. I LOVE blueberries! So does Bella. I made blueberry scones today and I think my blueberries were from Oregon. I always try to buy Or. or Cali blueberries.

How is Mocha?

Lily Monet got her shots today. I love having a kitty:)
