Recycled Jewelry Holder

Okay, so I didn't get around to cooking. Well, wait, yea I did! I cooked a dozen boiled eggs for the week. I had planned on baking, and I do have all my stuff for what I'll be baking but I got so tired after cleaning and running around that I was too exhausted when all was said and done. HOWEVER, I did create something out of a recycled egg carton. I think we did this in kindergarten or grade school, didn't we? Still works for me! I guess I could have prettied it up but I got so excited I had to show you guys. :)

Voila!

You laugh, but if you saw all the costume jewlery and do-dads I have, you would realize how brilliant this is! I always give my egg cartons to my friend who has chickens and sells the eggs, but I may keep a few now....

You could do some really cute decopage on it with some retro paper or some gold leaf. That is a good idea, I am the one everyone gives the egg cartons to since I have chickens.

Michelle, I am in the same boat as you. Sorta, lol. I have been wanting to bake so many things, cookies, cakes, pastries, etc and I haven't made one darn thing yet! I have all my recipes sitting there waiting for me and all my ingredients overflowing the pantry and NO energy what so ever to make anything! I'm hoping one of these days I'll find some, LOL.
Cute idea with the egg carton!

Cuuute! And I love your jewelry too! Some friends gave us a million egg cartons (since we have chickens) but we'll just save them for eggs though. ;) I inherited a pretty jewelry box from my IL that their neighbor made for them, so I'm happy. :)

Recycle, reuse..great idea. I've seen some ladies that sell clip earrings at flea markets use egg cartons for display.

I wouldn't decorate it. I like it's simplicity.

Hello to the kitties. Mine are snuggled in on a stormy winter's night.

Gresat idea!! I love recycling... but I admit I would decorate it, or my girls would, paint it anyway. They want to paint everything.

Ya know, I kinda like it! It looks vintage. Wouldn't work if it was that icky styrofoam carton.
