I love these pics. My master bathroom has a 1927 American Standard Claw Foot Tub in it (I found it in a friends back yard under a tarp). We just bought a new light fixture for the kitchen and Im painting the old chandelier white and hanging it in my bathroom. As soon as Im finished, Ill post some pics to see if you like it.
I love the idea with the fireplace mantle.........

Old fashioned tubs are so pretty, but really, I like my long, hot showers in a nice, modern shower (massaging shower head, anyone?)

A tub is nice, but I would like a huge shower, with about 5 sprayers, all done in tile. Dreams.......Hugs, Kathleen

Me, I dream of glass shower stalls with slate walls and pebble floor...I'm less of a romantic gal than you. :) I do appreciate those old tubs with the claw feet though!

Do you have Re-Use stores in your area? That'd be a good place to look, besides antique stores, I'll bet.

These tubs are very fun and romantic, aren't they? I remember a huge one I once had at a bed and breakfast in Napa--so luxurious!

I totally agree with you. I want a claw foot tub too!

My mom had one when she was young. Wish she'd taken in with her when she got married. LOL
