Okay everyone, on a last minute whim my friend Bryan and I went to go see Julie and Julia tonight. I am SO glad I did. What an enchanting movie!! I loved it! I mean, I really had no idea Julia Child was such a happy go lucky lady. She was so positive about everything. And her husband. Oh don't get me started on him. He's my dream husband. LOL! He totally encouraged her all the way with her passion. *sigh* I actually never knew the story of Julie Powell (the gal who started the Julie and Julia blog) and I had no idea that was a real blog! Yes, real! Now I'm going to have to look this story up and read all about it. By the way, here's the link to her blog. She still keeps it up! http://juliepowell.blogspot.com/.
If you haven't seen it yet I encourage you to spend an afternoon with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. I have to add, Meryl Streep was magnificent as Julia Child. Is she ever not magnificent in a role? She's one of my favorite actresses!
Hope you all are enjoying your Labor Day weekend. Here's something I will leave you with. I have already started writing my ideas down for a book. I'm finally getting back into writing. :) Oh and Mocha is still doing okay. I will try a recipe for her this weekend and see how that goes over. :)

I've already seen this movie twice, that's how much I enjoyed it. I had no idea it would be such a romantic love story. I'm going to run right out and buy it when it comes out in dvd.
I still have to go see it!!! I know I will love it because I too think Meryl Streep is the greatest. My all time favorite movie is 'Out of Africa'...I dreamed of living in Africa and dancing in the sunset on the african plains to the music from the soundtrack with my hubby.
I have added you on my sidebar as a link with a pic of my teacups...been added the blogs that I visit the most, like that.
How wonderful you have returned to writing...I too am returning to my passion~Art! The LORD is up to something, isn't He?
Checking in to see how Mocha is doing. Glad to hear Mocha is ok :)
I have not seen this movie but yesterday one of Julia's old old old cooking shows was on and it made me smile.

I have heard so many great things about that movie. I can't wait to go and see it this week! Good luck with the homemadecat food!
I had to make chicken, rice, carrots and peas for my dog when she got salmon poisoning a few years ago. She loved it! Can animals have pro-biotics like Kefir and yogurt? Just wondering if that would help. Good luck!
Yep, this movie is awesome. I have admired Julia Child for a very long time. Did you know she was a spy? I read her biography...she was an amazing women. She changed how women, especially here in the USA, perceived cooking and made it attainable.
