A Visit from Mom!

About a week ago my mom came to visit and we had such a great time together! In fact, it's not often I can find someone to swish away to a few antique stores and, of course, girly clothes shopping. Lol!

My favorite antique stomping grounds around my area is called Aurora. Aurora was founded in 1856 by Dr. William Keil who was a Prussian tailor and self-styled physician. He named the city after his daughter Aurora Mills. You can read more about the history of Aurora here

http://www.auroracolony.com/History.htm.

Here's a couple of pictures we took in Aurora. The area is so quaint. I've decided I would really enjoy living in any "old town" in any city. :)

Here's my beautiful mom! :) The flowers were in bloom in Aurora and Spring was definitely in the air.

Notice I'm standing next to "Treasure" sign. :) Lol!

The next day we found ourselves in the antique market in Portland called Monticello Antique Marketplace...one of the best in town!

Mom is discovering some treasures...

I spied a mirror and sneaked a picture of myself.

Here's a picture of just me and mom. I love her so much and she really made my week when she came up to have some fun, mother, daughter time! Thanks, mom!! I already miss you. So does Emma. Lol! Emma loved my mom.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. If you can believe this, I have a Spring project coming up. Very cheap and I had all the materials right here at home! xoxo

Hi Michelle! I'm happy to hear that your mom came for a visit and that you had such a great time together!! She's so pretty and be sure to tell her I said so because moms love compliments. One of my favorite things in all the world is to go shopping with my mom. Antique shopping with moms is just the best!! Just count the days until you can see her again.

Love,
Susan and Bentley

You and your mom look so pretty. What a great place! There is a spot in Sellwood that seems to only be open on weekends that I would love to check out. It's on Tacoma. Don't remember what it's called. Hmmm. Have a lovely week!

It's certainly easy to see where you got your good looks from! =) Glad you had such fun with your mom; my MIL used to take me antiquing, but, sadly, she died back in '02.

Hope you're having a lovely spring so far! xo

mIcHellE..I mIss yOu!!!! Oh my your mom is gorgeous...what a beautiful petite woman! Now I know where you get your beauty. Sigh. Mommie time is the best at any age.

You know I was thinking about your lil season of depression and though you probably are aware I will still remind you...that at our age our hormones are changing which causes such. I don't like it ONE Bit! But gotta trust the God who made me, right?! He knows...He formed us...He can help us through these times. Bless you sweetheart. love you ox

Hello Michelle~how wonderful to have your mom for a visit. You two look like sisters!
I you were able to enjoy a few restaurants while you were out antiquing.
We had a household full of guests last week through the weekend. They're from Arizona and Texas so, they just about froze with our cooler temps.
I think Nancy is a hoot! I wished she would have showed that loaf of bread she was mixing up. I adore her rustic approach. I will be tuning in to watch her again.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
