Prayers for Japan

What an emotional week. When I heard the news about Japan I was still up when it happened. I was in shock....stunned....the magnitude of it all. I couldn't even comprehend what the people in Japan were feeling. This personally hit home for me though. My grandmother lives in Japan. We have many family friends in Japan as well. I didn't know how far my grandmother was from where it happened so I was hysterical and called my mom right away. She reassured me that grandma was 500 miles away so I was relieved. My mother also heard from all her friends saying they were okay. However, it didn't give me any relief for everyone else who was affected by this terrible tragedy!

Please continue to pray for everyone in Japan.

I was wondering if you had any family in the zone? I'm so glad to hear your Grandma and family members ar ok. I was freaked beyond belief also. I saw the first images on NHK and I will never forget them as long as I live. Thankfully all my family members are also fine. My BIL (whose blog is on my sidebar) showed some pix of his apartment in Tokyo. He said they're still receiving aftershocks and it's very unnerving. Vanna

I was also up when the breaking news came across the TV screen.
I went to bed worried about the devastation after seeing some of the early footage.

I am so glad your relatives and friends are ok. Praying for all of those affected by the quake, tsunami, and now the nuclear power plants.

I was stunned by it too. I was home sick on Friday so ended up watching all the news on TV about the quake and Tsunami. Devastating!

I feel like I am slowly emerging from a cocoon of grief. Although scary at first, we in Hawaii, were really blessed. I don't know if I can watch another little face in Japan, too sad, however, I will continue to pray and do whatever I can. And yes, so grateful that your family is okay....

I have watched the coverage from the first morning after. I have begun to pray for them too. I am so glad you grandmother is alright!! My Lord what those poor people are going through. It's bad enough to deal with the effects of the earth quake and tsunami...now the nuclear mess. I pray they get through it and no more of Japan's people are affected by it.
