Feeling a bit blue today....

It was rainy and gloomy most of the day. Well, most of the weekend but today I felt extra blue. I felt like her. The weather is a challenge sometimes...and the darkness comes all too soon these evenings. I just wanted to stay in bed all day.....and dream of sunny California. :) Sometimes I do miss home. This too shall pass though...

Hope everyone had a lovely Monday. :)

What a lovely painting, and so evocative of the way you were feeling, I am sure. We all have those days--I hope you were able to spend some quiet time snuggled in your bed!

Dear Friend,

Cheer up, and think about things that make you happy, like the California Sun, and your family and your kitty babies.

I hate when the evening comes so quickly. Isn't it so funny that we have the same amount of time after work in the winter as we do in the summer ... but it sure doesn't feel like it!!!

Smiles!

The weather just gets you like that sometimes, though it has its merits!!!
Autumn colours really glow when it is grey outside, and nothing beats a nicely scented candle, a good book, lovely mug of tea and a great blanket to snuggle up in on a day like that...

I hear you on getting dark early. It really shortens the day. At 6 PM it feels like 10 pm and I am ready to go to bed. Nature isn't all that much fun sometime. Life is valleys and mountains...you'll be on top of the mountain soon! Hugs, Kathleen

Oh Gosh I have many days like that...sad to say. My energy level seems to deplete as the days get shorter and it gets darker sooner. I think it just takes some getting used to maybe. I guess we all need to get acclimated to the new season? I hope this passes soon and you are a bundle of joy before you know it! I always feel that when I am having a quiet, down day, God wants me to stop and smell the roses and possibly take some time to reflect and learn from life. We are all such busy people...especially us women!

Hey Michelle, since the time change, it gets dark sooner here too in Cali. I leave for work in the dark and come home in the dark. I take advantage of these times by lighting a nice chestnut or pumpkin spice candle - grab a book or a movie or even a kittie to snuggle with. I'm thinking about buying a telescope and do a bit of star gazing myself... I've always been fascinated. I think everyone gets kinda blue every now and then. Treat yourself with something that can lift your senses and it will definitely help change your mood. I also try to think about things I'm grateful for - health, family etc. Hope you feel better soon.

I was in bed most the day too with a terrible headache. I think I ate too much choc. cake! Still have a headache, but am on the sofa now watching 'Kingdom of Heaven'. I can see how you would miss California...I missed it soooo much when I lived in the midwest. I will never leave again.
