More Decor and Projects for the Holiday

I just love the picture above. They say there's a chance of snow this weekend.

I thought I'd show off a few more decorations around my place and give you a quick simple idea for decorating an ornament.

Here's what my chair usually looks like in the evenings when I'm home relaxing. :) Note, there's always a magazine no more than a couple feet from me at all times. I admit, I'm a magazine addict but I've gotten better, I swear!

I got this adorable "Believe" sign from Kohl's....for only $7.99! It actually has glitter on it so it's sparkly. :)

I lined the pot of the topiary with hard candy (I had in a candy jar on my living room table). My girlfriend, Susan, came up with the idea. Cute, huh?

I started another pink glittery shell picture. I have one more big one I'm going to make and I plan on hanging them somewhere with natural twine. I'm going paint and glitter happy. Don't be surprised if Mocha and Quincy turn up on the blog pink and glittered. :) I'll take more pictures when they're complete (the pictures, not the cats).
A quick craft idea to adorn your plain ornaments. I got these adorable snowflake stickers from Michael's and just stuck them on my solid ornaments. How easy is that?

What a cute blog! I love your profile saying, "an old fashioned girl keeping up with modern times" - or something to that effect ... *smile* ... I feel that I could catagorize myself in that arena as well. Great pics - and just in love with your kitty!

Clever, clever girl! Wonderful projects. Do keep the pics coming (and take some of the glittered cats as well -- snicker).

We are hoping for snow too! It turned Brrrrrrr cold a day or two ago and I wore my first cozy sweater. Bring on the snow!! : D

I love Kohl's too! I buy most of my holiday stuff there like rugs and kitchen sets. They usually have one for every occasion and 50%off too! :)

How nice! I love DIY projects that don't need all day to make yet are gorgeous to look at. Love the framed glittery pink seashells!

I'm a magazine addict too! I must have over 20 of them. I need to cut back; can't seem to find the time to read them all.

Great idea with the candy under the topiary! Looks really festive and cute.

Your snowflake ornament idea is so clever!

Hi Michelle,
I love all of your ideas here... and I admit... yes, I am a magazine-a-holic too. There are piles of them around her and I do have them sorted by month (one day, by name ;)

That candy base is great and the snowflake on the ornament is so, so cute. Can't wait to see Mocha and Quincy all glittered up, maybe they should run for cover?

To Ms. Michelle

I have read some of your posts. I liked your writing style. I would like to revisit the same.

If you like short stories and paintings, then a short visit to my blogs would be a good idea.
