Still Baking!

You are all going to hate me for posting this but I am still baking. I'm sure this is the last thing you want to see after the holidays. Well, I got bored last night so I decided to use the cream cheese sugar cookie dough I had pre-made a few days ago and make the chocolate dipped pretzels I had wanted to make last week. The pretzels are delicious. I used the Special Dark chocolate and then sprinkled perils over them. I put them in a pretty tin to finish it all off. :)

Spread that dough out!

Cute cut-outs for the holidays....

Melted Special Dark chocolate by Hersheys....

Dipped pretzel....

Pretzels sprinkled with perils....

Finished pretzels....

And the good thing is, I haven't gained a pound! Yay!!!

Delicious! I use a cream cheese recipe for sugar cookies too. Wonder if it's the same recipe...I bake them for only 8 minutes so they remain soft and they are so good I could eat a dozen!

Those pretzels turned out so pretty. Dark chocolate is my favorite!

AND good for you not to gain a pound. I never step on the scale, but my clothes are fitting the same so I don't think I gained any either. Yippee!

Please send me your email address so I can send you an invite to be a friend to my blog...I am going private.

michelle, your baked goods still make me hungry even after all of this holiday junk food eating.

i really like chocolate covered pretzels. they are the perfect blend of sweet and salty. for some odd reason, my stepdad is obsessed with pretzels and chocolate, but wouldn't dare eat them together. he's weird. haha

hope you had an awesome christmas!!

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies... that sounds like a "must have recipe".

Chocolate covered pretzels.. a favorite. I was wondering if the Special Dark Chocolate would work for it. I used it for my fudge this year and I love it... much better than than the milk chocolate.

Amazingly with all the food I've eaten this holiday season I haven't gained weight either. I'm plump enough, so no weight gain is good :-)

Thank you for the update on the ex-boyfriend.

I only dated one other boy besides my now husband back in high school. I got mad at the other boy and never talked to him again :-)

Still baking? I give you so much credit, I am all baked out. I must admit, those cookies look awful tempting..... Mr Ming likes to chew on plastic bags. Not a good thing for a cat to do. Plastic bags have been banished from my home...it's difficult some days to keep up. He likes to wake me up in the middle of the night too...just because he's lonely. Gotta love him, though. Happy New Year! Hugs, Kathleen

Fairmaiden,

Yes, I only use the cream cheese sugar cookie recipes when I make sugar cookies. Great minds think alike. :) I do them both with frosting and powdered. I just posted the recipe, see if it's the same. I like to leave mine soft too. I have been known to make them too soft and they crumble when I try to frost them. Eeek! :)
