I Was a Vegetarian for Two Days This time. LOL!

Yea, it was short lived as you can see from the photo below. LOL! I was craving spaghetti tonight but I got organic beef. That made me feel a TAD bit better. I just better not come upon a truck loaded with cattle or I'm in trouble!

I did throw in a little vegetarian-ism. A lovely salad with a new addition of kiwi fruit! It tasted so refreshing!
Quincy was a little blue tonight. He wants to know when the rain will stop.

Mocha told him to just keep kneading and the time will pass fast!

Also! The vet called today to follow-up on Mocha. I said nothing had changed, she's taking her pills fine and then she said she was thinking a little more about it and said she forgot to ask me a few things. Well we talked about Mocha's medical history with a sensitive stomach, etc. etc. and she said she is really leaning now towards Irritable Bowel Disease now that we ruled out hyperthyroidism. I am praying it is just that because that is easier to treat! We will get her through her antibiotics and then change her diet. That made me feel better so I was able to eat meat again. ;) Mocha ate a lot tonight too.
Oh dang! They're playing that commercial from the ASPCA (which I proudly donate to every month)...you know where they show the most saddest pictures of animals. *sigh* Now I have to go save all the animals in the world. I'll never get ahead. Lol!

Hi Michelle...
I just finished catching up, again, with you... Sure was sorry to hear about all that you 'n Mocha have been going through, but so happy that she seems to be improving and that you'll be able to treat 'n manage her illness... She 'n Quincy are just way too Adorable!!
Just Loved those tin signs 'n tablecloth you got... Fantastic prices!
Now, about those chickens you saw on the big truck... there's no way you could live where I do. I'm dead-center in the heart of chicken country... those trucks are on the roads 24/7... and I don't think I need to tell you just how sweet the air is on a hot Summer day with a strong breeze... ~scrunches up my nose~ ...No way you can hang laundry out on the line... for sure a dozen of those fab soft sheets you mentioned!
Ohhh... we've adopted 2 more fur-babies! I think both were just dropped off on our street to fend for themselves... ~sighs~ ...anyway, 2 cats, one black that we named Midnight, and the other one is missing his tail... looks like he was in a wicked fight... we call him No-Tail Kitty! They're both total Love-Bugs and Purr-Machines... a real treat to have them around... Hope you're doing well, and give some hugs 'n smoochies to your fur-babies for me, please!

~hugs 'n prayers~

Nice cat, a healthy simple vegetarian diet is always the best way to remain healthy and fit.

Hi Michelle, I have tried to go vegetarian a couple of times, but that craving for a nice steak just won't stay away. Ok, so I'm a meat eater. And those ads on TV...well, I have to change the channel. I cannot bear to watch them. I don't know how people can be so mean. It is truly heart wrenching. Hugs, Kathleen

Glad to hear about Mocha- hopefully irritable bowel is what she has! I know that commercial...that resulted in us getting Abbey in Oct. I cry whenever it is on. HAve a great day! Hope the rains move on and nOT our direction please!

I just have to not think about where meat comes from. Our trip out west last year and passing by the cattle yards... that will really make you lose your appetite for beef :-)

Hopefully with a change in diet Mocha will feel better.

We had leftover spaghetti yesterday. No idea what we are having today.

that good news about Mocha. hopefully the diet change will really help! i don't think it's ever going to stop raining here either. i think we're on 2 weeks now with rain everyday. somedays only a little bit and other days-all day long. the pool opens in 3 weeks! this rain better be done by then and it better be hot outside!

There are some wondeful groups you can join at yahoo (under groups) to learn all about IBS and Hyper-T (if needed still). I learned sooooooo much from these wonderful groups. If it is IBS then you seriously need to get better cat food for Mocha ASAP. Getting rid of grains is the biggest thing you can do for Mocha and you'll see positive results immediately. So much to learn, but in all reality there are so many better cat foods out there that are easier on the tummy. Only downfall is you have to look for them in the pet speciality stores, not petco or petsmart. Let me know if you need help.

Mocha, we hope you'll get a diagnose soon, so you'll get the right treatment. We don't "do" vegetarian, but our Humans "do" it four days a week... go figure?!

Don't you just love it when they do that kneeding thing....My daughters cat, Benny does it on any really soft blankey and my baby, Lucky does it on my lap, chest, tummy when ever he wants me to know he needs a good snuggle and now is the time. Of course a loud purr and an expression of sedated bliss accompanies the kneeding! I love being a cat mommy!
I hope you have a Blissful Mother's Day surrounded by those who love you!
Blessings~ LillySue

I can't eat red meat anymore. Everytime I see it, all I can think of are their beautiful faces.

Good to hear that Mocha is feeling better. I hope a change in diet will solve her problems.
