A Nice Saturday

My cold is almost gone! Yippee!! Zicam is my new friend. :) So far it's been a wonderful weekend. It started last night when Jim brought me home this adorable plant stand he found at The Goodwill for only $8.00! He says that he has my style pegged now. It all started like this. A picture was sent to my phone while I was at work and it said "Do you like this?"

Michelle said, "It's adorable!!!." Then the next picture came through...

And in its new home. What a sweetheart Jim was to think of me! I do love that man!

Today is such a beautiful day! I opened all the blinds, flung open all the doors to both decks and enjoyed the bright sunshine! I haven't seen sun like this since last summer. I just know we'll have a beautiful sunset tonight.

I met my very good friend Tami for tea today. I had not seen her in two months since I left my last job. We miss each other a lot but we email everyday so it's not so bad. After tea we stopped off at one of my favorite little antique shops in old town Ridgefield. I bought a couple of sweet things. :) It's the same antique shop my sis and I went to while she was here.

Inside the antique shop....

More wings to add to the wings I got from Kelly at Southern Fried Cupcakes! Aren't these beautiful? I might have to spray paint that "Believe" sign pink. :) Notice the halo came with it.

And isn't this the sweetest little container?

Tomorrow is my day to volunteer at the local cat shelter (I try for every Sunday). I convinced Tami and her sister to come see what it's all about and they're both excited. I will try to take pictures and post all the sweet little kitties in my next post. :) Hope you're all having a restful weekend. :)

that is so sweet! what a man you have. i shudder to think what my husband might come home with. i don't think he understands my decor after 5 years of marriage. he's a hopeless case.

Love those white wings. And is that your bed in those photos?! It is sooooo pretty. Will you show pics sometime?! I used to have sheers everywhere in our old cottage...sheer curtains on all the windows and sheer mosquito net over our bed...it was all so romantic and gives such a soft ethereal feel. Thats when our cottage was decorated in roses. I miss the sheers, but like the wide open windows of sea cottage.

Glad you are feeling better and had a day full of sunshine!
