Easter - Part 2

So from mom's house to my sister's house on Saturday! First, mom and my step dad, Dennis took me out to a wonderful breakfast overlooking the ocean at a sweet little restaurant called The Beach House. We all got something different and split everything! I love doing that! Then mom and I drove to my sister's side of town and straight to the The Pony Club where my niece was about to meet her new horse (she's leasing a horse) named Beebop. I was so impressed with her riding. She looks so natural on a horse and this little girl knows exactly what she's doing. :)

The rest of the weekend consisted of more laughing, spending quality time together, eating and eating...and baking. Sis was on her tenth day of a Friendship Bread. Perfect timing, huh? We got to bake it together! I love spending time with sis doing things like this. It's such a far cry when we were teenagers growing up...the typical fighting, jealousy, etc. We are so close now and best friends! I only wish we lived closer.

And of course we can't forget the egg decorating with my sweet niece!! I even hid the eggs from her. :)

And a little shopping. My sis and I buy the great bags you have seen on my site in the past from this wonderful gal, Susan. She's a friend of my sisters, a neighbor and most of all she sells these great handbags from her business called BIG CITY HANDBAGS! You must checkout the cute bags she has on her site. They are very sturdy, last a very long time and keep their shape. I love them! They are great quality bags! Every time I go home I have to make a special trip to her house to buy something new. Oh and she has the most adorable house! You know, one of those you see in House Beautiful magazine. :)

Isn't this adorable? It's amazing how much it holds! Trust me, I had tons of magazines and books and a sweater and more when I came home on the plane. When I took everything out it had not lost its shape at all!

THIS caught my eye. I just LOVE the color! This color yells Spring!

Then of course I had to visit with the fur babies at my sis' place. Checkers (aka Hammy, aka kind of aggressive little thing but still cute!)

And of course Max. :)

He asked about Quincy and I went on and on about that one position Quincy loves doing (laying flat on his back like a rug) and Max said...umm...dogs can do that too!

And we rounded the weekend off with a visit to Dad. Mom went by the day before and left him these beautiful lilies. My sister and I added the cheerful sunflowers. :)

One night my brother-in-law decided to do a little ancestry research. It was VERY interesting to say the least. I wouldn't be surprised if my father's side of the family's linked directly to Jesse James, eek! Lol!

Anyway, I love going home and I always come home missing my family more. I have to be thankful I am only 2 hours flight away. :)

P.S. They loved the plaques! :)

What a perfect weekend. You are very lucky to have your family and be able to go back home. Believe me, it gets tough when you can't. Love the handbag and will check it out. Sisters are a rare breed aren't they.. you can fight as youngsters and be far apart in age, and then you grow up and the years between melt away and your best friends.. you and your sister are lucky.. I know.. I love my sister!

Max is very handsome. Is he as Airdale? (called the King of the Terriers) Being able to go home is so special. I am so happy for you, that you had such quality time with your family.

I just realized that Janet from Cottage by the Sea is your sister. I love the plaque you made her - I told her she should turn it into her blog header.

I am glad you had a nice Easter. The flowers you brought your father were lovely.

What fun you had, Michelle!

I think teenage girls fight because of the hormones, but it's so great that you two get along so well now!

Max is funny! And he is so handsome that I almost thought he was a sculpture at first (until he did a Quincy pose!). :)
