I Want a Collection!

Everyone has collections except me! Well, I don't count magazines as a collection nor cats so don't even go there. I want a collection! So, tonight I decided on what my collection will be because I haven't stopped thinking about how many different kinds I can have! TEA TOWELS!! For awhile I thought about aprons but I would definitely use tea towels more than aprons. They're also cheap. Here's one I just bought from Etsy (below) and don't ask me why, besides the obvious that its food and a baked good, but I've been hooked on cupcakes lately! Isn't this adorable? Can't wait to get it in the mail. I bought this from Boojiboo (cute name, huh) on Etsy. Checkout her store because she has the most ADORABLE items and lots of cute vintage aprons!

Update on the Cats 101 (Animal Planet) producer. I received a call this afternoon from the production company and they are legitimate. She just basically wanted to interview me on what it is like to live with a Selkirk Rex, how different he is from the other cats I have and have had throughout my life, the characteristics, etc. She noticed Quincy was a "star" on my blog and thought he was "just so cute". :) Little booger is, I can't deny that. That's why I fell instantly in love with him. I am really glad they're doing this segment on their Cats 101 show. Not many people know about the breed. She said it was a breed that was "under the radar" with many people. She said if they want to do a more personal story and get some pictures, etc. that they will be in contact with me again. Well, at the very least that was fun and entertaining and I can say I've never had a pet draw attention from a production company. In my eyes, all my cats are stars. :)

Thank God tomorrow is Friday. My friend, Bryan and I are going to try to get tickets tomorrow for Wicked (a lottery sort of drawing so we'll see). :) I hope we do get tickets because I've been dying to see it! Have a great Friday everyone! :)
Gawd, listen to this song? Even my song is about baking! I need to go on a diet.

Of course the pin up girl made me think of you! you are welcome to add it to your collection, I got it from allposters.com.

Our friends whom sold us our wee vintage trailer bought a bigger vintage trailer and we go 'trailer tramping' together as my friend puts it. She likes to call us trailer trash too...so it made me think of her too. lol

Have a great weekend seeing Wicked!!!

the rss feed is working! I finally saw your update! that only took a few months to work-geez.
glad the animal planet thing is legit.
I would think Quincy should really have his own show, no doubt.
If I was to collect anything obviously it would be one of everything (or two) from Williams Sonoma. I would also love to collect snow globes, the fancy ones.

I think tea towels are perfect for you! Oh my gosh! I know a place that sells cute ones--I'll have to go see if they still do!

I love those cupcake towels! I have some with cupcakes on them but they aren't nearly as cute as yours.

I really hope you got tickets to see Wicked. I really, really hope you did.

I thought you were already collecting tea towels. I told Frank they were originally made to put over tea trays when tea was being served and progressed to drying towels :-)... that is my story... Frank is happy to know how they became known as tea towels :-)

Quincy sure is a STAR! I'm an animal person, but lean more towards dogs but I really enjoy hearing of your cats... especially Quincy.

Lovely new towel, and congrats on your collection! I've wound up with quite the collection of them myself, and quite by accident! I collect red 50s kitchenware and started by buying a few towels to go with my displays... and then a few more... and then I found a red one... and then just a few more... and you get the idea. It seems to be how all of collections started. It starts with one thing to add to my already established collection... then just one more... and one day I look around and go "WHEN did I start collecting THAT?!?"

I collect tea towels. They're small so they don't take up too much room. They have many uses. And they're fun souvenirs from my travels. Enjoy collecting them!

If you like, email me your address and I will send you a tea towel from New England for your collection!

Collections are way over-rated, but if you have to collect something, tea-towels are a pretty perfect thing to collect. :) Those are so very pretty!

You're right: all your cats are stars!!

Tea towels are perfect! You can collect them when you travel, they pack easily on the return trip, and are actually useful! I have always wanted to collect tea towels and then make a blanket out of them! You may have just inspired me!
