Show and Tell Friday!

It's Show and Tell Friday hosted by Kelli at There's No Place Like Home.

Today I just have a couple of pictures to show you. These were given to me by a friend of mine. They came from her aunt's house (who passed away about 8 years ago, God rest her soul). They are two very sweet pictures of, what looks to me, like a French girl. In one picture she's very well dressed with her pink boa around her shoulders and her fancy hat (so me). In the second picture she is with her dog (like me, an animal lover) and a hat box (again just like me....I love shopping). I'm not sure if these are vintage or old but I just really liked her sweet innocent face (me DEFINITELY innocent). They are hanging in my guest bedroom. :)

Enjoy and hope you have something special to share this Show and Tell Friday! :)

The picture looks lovely - the girl has such an air of class in her! :)

These have a very vintage feel - are these real, or reprints? It would be good of you to find out.

They sure look pretty hanging in your house and the memories attached must bring a smile each time you see them.

Nice pictures! I believe that's the Arc de Triomphe in the background; what a nice way to capture Paris!

These are very pretty and feminine! Do you know who painted these? Is there any sort of signature on them?

Wonderful pictures, indeed!

Hi Michelle, Girl, I'm so glad you visited my blog because I'm loving yours! I love all the kitty pics! I used to have 3 persians...just love their sweet faces and dispositions. All three of mine lived to ripe old ages, 16, 17 and 18. Then I adopted Max from a shelter...I think he may be a Norwegian Forest Cat...he looks like the pics I've seen when I google that breed. I was sooo tickled when I saw your dream house pic 'cause I'm always saying my dream would be to own an historic home one day. I go on just about every historic home tour that I can find...going on one in about two weeks actually. Oh, I just remembered...there's a blog that often shows beautiful historic homes...I'll find that link for you and comment back with it just in case you haven't found it yet...it's pretty neat! :-) Susan

Hi Michelle...Ok, found it. It's a blog called Hooked on Houses...here's the link:
http://hookedonhouses.net/ You can see some interesting old house stuff on her current blog page but to the left is a list of categories for her blog...and you can find more listed there. Now, if you get nothing done all day tomorrow...you can blame me! Just call me an enabler! :-) Susan

Is your Dream Home the house from Practical Magic?

I love that house! (If not, your dream home is just as lovely... looks very much like it).

Such pretty pictures! Reminds me of the drawings/art in the Betsy-Tacey series of children's books (the ones from when they were highschool to adult age) by Maude Hart Lovelace.
