A Visit to a Fabulous Theatre and More Random Decor

I'm still decorating! :)

My friends and I saw Twilight on Saturday. I have to say I really liked it! I liked how the whole thing was shot and it had a dark, yet sensual undertone about it without getting graphic. I've always thought that less is more and leaving what's left out for the imagination to fill in is the best. Okay, but the flying around from tree to tree got a little cheesy but the director still pulled it off for me.

Okay, on to the good part of this whole movie trip. We saw the movie in what is supposedly the best theatre in the United States. I'm not sure if you've all heard of it but it's called Cinetopia. It's a very elegant theatre where the accommodations are comfortable, the chairs have their own footstools and at the foot of the screen is an area where tons of pillows are thrown down and you can lay on the floor and watch the movie. That was a bit close for us so we sat at the top. The waiters and waitresses actually come to your seat in the theatre and take your order for dinner and serve you while you're watching the movie! How cool is that? The food is good food too and not just hot dogs and popcorn and the menu is actually put on the screen in the theatre so you can see what you're ordering. After your movie you can step into an elegant wine bar for some wine tasting and a fancy dessert. Here are a few pictures of the inside of the restaurant and wine bar. Oh I'm spoiled now and can't go to any other theatre. You do, however, pay about $3.00 more for a movie but it is so choice.

This was beautiful. The fireplace in the restaurant was full of crystals or clear quartz rocks of some type instead of wood. It set off a haunting glow. The perfect setting for a movie like Twilight. :)

Looks like you enjoyed your weekend there! :-) The jar of pink balls- are they chocolates by any chance? The feather duster-like Christmas trees look adorable!

Oh I see you had a great movie-time! Haven't known that you are also a big twilight fan. I love the books.... for my pity in germany we still have to wait for the movie... It will come to the cinemas January 15th! A hard time to wait reading all these US-blogs and all of you have seen the movie... Love your first Christmas decorations... even I'm a bit more old-fashioned with mine... I hope I can start to decorate this week! BTW I love these little pin-up pictures on your blog. Thanks for visiting, greetings (also to all your animals) Mira :0)

Oh that sounds like fun! I was wondering about this movie. When I was in highschool we lived in Central FL and they had an old theatre that they made into a movie theatre so it had stadium seating but they put tables in there and you could eat dinner while you watched the movie, not as fancy as the place that you went but I always loved going!

Well, I have never heard of such a theater -- sounds divine! I stay home for films as we have a big screen, comfy furnishings, GREAT snacks, and a PAUSE button for "breaks." Your theater sounds like a close second. : )

Love your "decorating.'" I haven't begun Christmas yet, as Thanksgiving is one of my favorites and I won't rush it!

Wow, if I could watch a movie at the Cinetopia, I'd actually enjoy the whole experience! Instead, I'm always freezing and starving when i go to the movies, so I almost never go any more. I love Netflix...just wish I have an 80 inch tv to watch things with. ;)

Glad you like the film!

Hey soul chocolate! No, they aren't chocolates...they're actually mini bulb ornaments. :) If they were chocolate that jar would be EMPTY!

This sounds enchanting. Your ornaments are glittery beauty. LOve, love, love the Fleur de Lis ornament.

I too love that new December Romantic Homes issue. The November one is a favorite too.

Your pin up mood on the side bar is so cute!

I don't know why they don't have the theatre like that around here in California, especially OC.....Sounds fun, but I might fall sleep.....

I love pink, too.
