The Farmer's Wife

On one of my frequent visits to my favorite tea house I try to stop by the little antique store nearby. I have to tell you, the sweetest, sweetest elderly lady works there. She is sweeter than cherry pie. I mean if you looked up the meaning of "grandmother" in the dictionary this little old lady would be the definition. Lol! In any event, I picked this up awhile back. I had never heard of this publication before. I mean I've seeing vintage publications before but not this one! I am intrigued and want to see more.

Love the old ads. I eat like this every night. This is nothing new for me.

This house cost a whopping $7,000.

That's your vintage dose for the day. :)

Things haven't changed much. We're still eating fiber and trying to sell real estate!

Aren't vintage magazines the best? Just Sunday I was in an antique store and sat looking at old Life magazines (1940's and 1950's)- I almost bought a couple- still might when I go back. And you are right; the ads are priceless!! Have a great day!

The ads are totally priceless - do you watch Mad Men? One of my favorite things about the show is how they use some ads that really existed as part of storylines, and how there is so much product placement in vintage packaging - yes I am weird, Ithink it's funny to see Kelloggs Corn Flakes in a 1950s/1960s box. LOL - also thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog :)

That is such a cute magazine. I love looking at old adds, they are so funny. What will future generations say about our adds?
Have a great day.

Ahhh, I love vintage anything...the vintage images are so sweet and life was so simple. I wish we could go back.

I too want to sew up some long rosey skirts to wear with T's and tanks and flip flops.

Your new blog wallpaper is cute!
