This is what happens when I go to Petco

I end up at TJ Maxx next door. It's not my fault. They should not have a put a store like TJ Maxx so close to the pet store where sweet girls go buy food and treats for their sweet fur babies and to visit the kitties up for adoption. It's a bait tactic, I know it! I took a peek inside but I swear I didn't spend too much!

I mean is this too cute for words? Only $7.99!

Oh and earlier this week I bought these jars from Walmart to hold my flour and masa flour. Yep, masa flour. I'm going to try my hand at making homemade corn tortillas soon! These guys were only $4.99 each!

Checkout that basket of tea towels back there. My collection is already growing.

And if you haven't noticed, since I was taking so long painting the little table in the kitchen red I'd thought I'd do a quick fix and cover it with this oil cloth I got from Walmart for only $5.99! Now watch, I'll never paint the table. ;)

And this little (okay fat) piggy stayed home....

Weekend plans consist of horseback riding with Debbie on Saturday and Farmer's Market/Saturday Market in Portland with my friend, Bryan! Oh and maybe catch a good movie.
What are your plans? :)

Michelle,

You are really funny, but your reasoning somehow strikes a chord (unfortunately as some will say). And hey, with a cloth like that, why should the table get painted?
Have a great weekend!

Lovely finds, Michelle.

I hope to plant a few flowers. Depends on if I get up enough energy to go buy the plants :-)

Oh, I love your litte ribboned plate. I passed up the chance once to buy a white cake stand with a pretty ribbon laced through it at the thrift store for $2. I have kicked myself every since!

I have the same glass containers on my counter in various sizes for sugar, flours, tea, and corn meal. Let me know how your tortillas come out, I have been meaning to try and make some myself.

Your weekend sounds wonderful! We will be working in the garden and grilling out this weekend:-)

What is it with you and the $7.99? LOL! I don't think I've ever even SEEN something I want for $7.99 (paper towels don't count). I think YOU have bought ALL the good $7.99 stuff in America(: I'm in LOVE with that pig!

Your blog name is SO cute. I love it like crazy! Your finds are beautiful! That egg holder is really pretty. The ribbon would have been my deal breaker. I mean, how stinking beautiful is that ribbon?

I think we are going to go to a Korean festival with our neighbors on Saturday. Their kids are singing in the choir. That should be fun. Even though we don't speak a lick of Korean : ).

How fun! I am going to be enjoying being out and about this weekend - finally some sun. I have to work this weekend, but still will have/make time for a long walk tomorrow and the Farmer's Market on Sunday :)

Michelle, I love that wire basket you have your tea towels in! Tell me, do you use your tea towels? I have a bunch, and I have some I really never use, cause they are so pretty. My sister says I am a hoarder. Your week-end sounds like so much fun...I wish it was warm enough to do that stuff here. Hugs, Kathleen

What great treasures! I love your tea towels in the basket. I am a hoarder too. I buy things that are supposed to be functional but can't bring myself to use them for fear I will wear them out. I think my kids and I are going hiking this weekend.

Horse back riding is soooo fun. I wish I could do more or even some. It's been years. There is a rescued horse ranch in Portland that I have donated money to over the years. I put the link below. They took in horses left for dead basically and now they are thriving. Amazing place this is.

Great finds! I love the egg holder. I haven't been to a TJ Maxx in years. They just opened one up close to us. I need to go and check it out.

Have a good weekend!

Too much eye candy! Your chicken things would go great in my kitchen. Our taste is so alike, chickens, pigs, farmers markets, except not for the horseback riding. I did it once, but I a afraid of getting bit again.

Check my blog and see a few of my chickens in an older post!
