Simple Dinner Recipe, Awards and I've Been Tagged!

I've been behind on my posts! I noticed not everyone posts daily but I swear I feel like if I don't post daily I'll get behind! It's just my chronic paranoia about things like leaving a humongous bowl of cat food on the kitchen floor for the cats in case I don't return home right away (I swear the cats think they're royalty for eating out of such a huge bowl)....or checking the plugs twice before I leave for work....or making sure my car is nowhere near empty in case I end up somewhere I'm not familiar with. I'm crazy, I know. Good thing I didn't have kids. They would never leave the house based on my paranoia alone! ;) Oh don't even talk about my hypochondria. Every time I see my doctor her first words are "What is it now, Michelle".

I recently made this very simple, very fast dinner for me and Jim. It's like eating a meatloaf patty!

Turkey Burgers with Swiss Cheese

1 lb ground turkey
1 piece of whole grain bread (moistened with water until soft...but squeeze so it's not too watery)
1 egg
4 slices deli Swiss cheese
1 packet of onion soup mix
1 tbsp onion powder

Mix all ingredients together (this is way too easy) and shape into 4 patties. Grill over medium heat and cook each side about 15 minutes or until browned. Flip and cook opposite side. Cook until done. Preheat oven to Broil. Transfer all patties to lined baking sheet. Place a single slice on top of each patty and place in oven (watch carefully) until the cheese has melted.

Enjoy!

Now for Awards! Nina over at Nina's Creations invited me over to grab a couple awards from her DELICIOUS blog. Nina is amazing with her food creations. They really are works of art so you must checkout her blog! Don't come back and look at my patties after you've been to her site, okay? Thank you so much, Nina! My life has been one big sweet dessert since you came into it. :)

Also, sweet, whimsical Kelly over at Southern Fried Cupcakes (every time I hear that my stomach grumbles) awarded me the Proximity Award! Thank you so much, Kelly! Swing on over to Kelly's and checkout her Etsy shop! If you remember, she awarded me the beautiful angel wings that I have hanging on my door for protection. I love 'em!

Also, I've been tagged by Anya over at Kareltj! This is a fun one. Here's how to play.

1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
2. Go to the 6th Folder, then pick the 6th picture in that folder.
3. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.
4. Tag 6 other people to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog to let them know

Since I've already played this in a previous post I'm going to randomly choose my folder 7 on my desktop and take the 7th picture from that folder. :) Also, anyone that wants to play along, feel free! I'll leave it open!

Here's my picture.

This is a picture of me and Jim last year when we took a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona and stayed at the Marriott Resort & Spa. I remember this trip was SO relaxing. It was sort of an all-inclusive resort. This was taken at one of the restaurants on the resort. It was outdoors and next to the main pool. The food was delicious! As you can see, we both got a little burned on the trip. :)

It's almost the end of the week! Yay!
