Visit to the United Kingdom (Online)

I've been thinking of ideas on how I want my deck to look. While perusing through some of my old magazines, in particular Country Homes Magazine, British edition, I found some great online boutiques. Problem is, they are all in the U.K. I'm sure things will cost more to ship, take a lot longer (and I like to have everything NOW) and that whole conversion thing, well it just hurts my head to try to think about. I can still ooooh and ahhhh though, right?

This deck is a sweet idea. This is from Lily Blue.

Aren't these accessories adorable! I mean, can't you see this pink pillow on that pink chair I showed you earlier in the week?

Okay, this was all just pretty!

Look I'm already distracted...Ive already forgotten about the deck. Aren't these tins cute?

Oh! Then I found this website...also from England. It's called Bells of Suffolk. I LOVE their fabrics. By the way, this is typically how I look at things...one thing leads to another...and another website..and another website and then I can't remember where I started!

Look at this pottery from Suffolk..too cute for words!

Love these planters for plants I will eventually kill but dang they will look pretty in these pots whether dead or alive!

A teapot after my own heart! This is from Pheasant.

Okay, this store I may have to order from eventually. This online boutique is called Live Laugh Love. I love everything in this boutique!

I just love window shopping online. Who knows, maybe I will order something from one of these vintage boutiques. Maybe you will too. :)

Hi everyone! It's Tuesdays at the Table brought to you by Andrea at My Chihuahua Bites! If you want to show off anything related to food (that's about every other post for me) then join in and head on over to her place now!

After a long day at work and and working overtime, I decided I needed this. Oh and this post is also dedicated to Chrissy over at Apothecary Shop because she loves it when I post yummy desserts. ;) Chrissy maybe you should head over to Andrea's place. You can get your fill of foody goodness for at least a good month! Lol!

And when the comforting smell of baked banana bread fills my home, the cats get very relaxed....

Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Banana Bread (could I add anymore words to this?)

1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour

3. Add dry ingredients, then bananas, nuts and sour cream.
4. Mix in chocolate chips and/or nuts
5. Mix well.

Note: I doubled this recipe to make more than one loaf.

Is it Spring yet?

I feel like I've been waiting forever and it's still raining here but the sun peeks out every now and then. :)

These camellias given to me by my best friend, Susan, brightened my place and screamed SPRING!! I love that they're pink, of course. :) Thank you, Susan!!!

I have a canister for my flour now. :)

Come on Spring!

What to do..what to do.

So I'm trying to decide what to do with the two decks that I have. Neither are decorated or have any plants on them. When I moved in it was close to winter and I just thought I'd wait until Spring came to start thinking of it. My girlfriend, Susan who is a Master Gardener and garden manager at a nearby store is holding this for me. She opens all the new merchandise and she thought of me when she saw this! She sent me a text and it said "OMG!!!! PINK Adirondack chairs! I'll find out how much and send you a pic!" I guess I'll start with this pink chair and work around it? LOL. I kind of wish it were a little lighter but hey, I couldn't say no to pink and it was fairly inexpensive. :) You know me and a good deal!

I can definitely see this cute pink chair with a sweet floral pillow on it or a floral throw. :) That will be my "statement" piece on the deck. :)

Another Craigslist Find!

A quick post this morning. Look what I found on Craigslist a block away from me and only $20.00!! It's in near perfect condition. The picture is a bit dark since it's in my bedroom and there isn't great lighting in there until the afternoon but I couldn't wait to show you!

Will post more later!

Using Your Imagination

It's so important for me to relax and to unwind at the end of a long day. Sometimes I just use my imagination....

Notice most of the food was at the top and there is no sign of an exercise machine. I'M headed down the right path! LOL

A Little Pick Me Up and An Award!

After work today I was going to head over to the bookstore to take a look at a book when all of a sudden something caught the corner of my eye! Was it? Could it be? The back of my hand quickly covered my mouth in fright! I gasped and stepped back in horror for I knew this was a dangerous, dangerous place where I could become vulnerable! It was sucking me in, like a tornado, pulling me closer and closer...sucking me in like an innocent lamb! I tried holding back! I even held onto the automatic door at the bookstore as my knuckles turned white! No..no....NOOOOOO....it was ANTHROPOLOGIE! Then the security guard told me to make up my mind about going in the bookstore because it was setting off the automatic door.

Okay, I admit, I did go in for a peak but I ONLY ended up with this sweet tea towel and I deserved a little pick me up because my hormones are back to normal.

I just love walking through Anthropologie....

What is it mommy?

I'll model it for you....

Isn't it sweet?

The back of the tea towel.

And meeting the other tea towels...

Also! I received the Fabulous Blog Award from Cindy Ruth over at Baked Alaska! Thank you so, so much, Cindy! Cindy has a fabulous FOOD blog. You know those are my favorites. She has a great post on how to make homemade mozzarella so swing on by and check out the yummy goodness of her blog!

With this award I am supposed to talk about 5 things I think are fabulous and pass this award on. As usual, I would like to pass this on to all the bloggers that swing by my place. Everyone deserves it in my opinion. We all work hard on our blogs to make them fabulous! :)

5 Things I Think Are Fabulous

1. My fur babies. Without them I would be one sad puppy and I'd be without a warm furry baby beside me every night. They are always there for me through good and bad and I LOVE THEM!

2. My wonderful family for being there for me and supporting me! Love you guys!

3. My closest friends who are always there for me as well! Love you all!

4. Starbucks. Without my daily iced non-fat, no whip, Cinnamon Dolce latte I'm not sure where I would be. Still in bed maybe? Lol!

5. For ALL OF YOU!! You have made my life exciting each and everyday I'm on here blogging. :)
Yay, we're halfway through the week.
