A Carnival Soiree and Gifts from Friends!

Hi all! Today is the Carnival Soiree at Lisa's! She's already started the festivities so hurry on over. I will be headed over pretty soon. First here are a few of my favorite circus pictures! Of course they are vintage. :)

Now before I head off to have some popcorn, cotton candy and gather my tokens for the circus I wanted to show you a few pretty things I received from faraway friends yet again!
First, I have to tell you the story of how this came about. Remember awhile back I posted some Easter decorations, the egg carton with the sheep and bunnies? Well, I got this comment from Joanne in New York (who owns her own little boutique) saying how much she LOVED the sheep and bunnies and asked where she could get it because she collects sheep! Well, I told her I got it in the little gift shop at the bottom of the building I work in downtown (by the way that shop is very dangerous for me to go into...all I want to do is spend money). I went down to see if they had more and alas, they were all gone. The owner had no planned on ordering more. :( So, what else could I do but offer to sell them to Joanne (of course for less than what I had paid) and she was jumping for joy. I immediately sent them on their way to New York. About a week or so later I received this wonderful thank you gift from her. I could not believe it!! Remember how I had wanted to purchase an apron? That apron showed up at my door as a gift. THANK YOU SO MUCH JOANNE!! Of all things it had teacups, tea cans and all things tea on it, as if it were meant for me. What a sweetie she was! I offered to send the check back for this trade and she would not have it. I am so lucky! Just look at it hanging in my kitchen now.

Then yesterday, Anya sent me these fun pictures she created with a fun program on the computer! Don't you just love them? I dream to be on a billboard in New York City!! One day it will happen. ;) The headline will be, Michelle...the New Martha Stewart!

Quincy already has fans...

My niece is already a model....
Quincy is also in the art galleries....

I bet you didn't know I modeled for Glamour magazine.

Thank you Anya and Joanne. I love what friends have to offer. Although I haven't met many friends from the blogging world you all still make me smile, make me laugh, give me great ideas and send wonderful gifts! Most of all your friendship is all I ever need. :)
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday. Now I will put on my carnival best and go win a few prizes!
